Health Education

As part of the roll-out scheme for Integrated Community Schools, we are involved in one of the key areas for improvement - “Health Promotion”. We have implemented a new Health programme involving all the Hawick schools as well as looking at a holistic approach to all issues surrounding the health of the children. We now have a “Healthy Tuck-shop” and school meals provide a balanced diet carefully designed by both the local authority and the Borders Health Trust

All staff have recently received training in a drugs and alcohol programme which we are implementing immediately
